Paris

At every turn I see an image that inspires a painting. I am just getting started. As a matter of fact, the beauty of Paris is rather overwhelming. So, I decide to pay attention to the smaller corners of what is familiar to me after being in our neighborhood. Our favorite spot is Ile St Louis. The island in the Seine overlooks Notre Dame by connecting bridges. Barges travel up and down the river.

In the morning we step out of our apartment for a fresh baguette, some fruit at the corner, and a stop at the cheese shop. I do realize that I am living a timeless cliche de Paris. And yes, I laugh. But I am so grateful for the opportunity.
